Pastor Frank Introduction

The Wheel

This wheel you see below is a picture of your life. This picture when you understand what it is illustrating, will tell you about 5 different areas of your life represented in the wheel. They are Spirit, Soul (mind will & emotions), your Physical Body, Relationships and Finances. In order to address questions that you may have we have included 3 different topical questions and videos in each of the 5 areas. You can find those topics in each page titled Spirit, Soul, Body, Relationships, and Finances.

You can see from the wheel illustration and the video below titled Why is Life So Hard? that there is an outer ring and an inner ring. We call the outer ring the rim and the inner ring the hub. Most every person lives on the rim. When a person lives on the rim they are in control of their own life. God is not in control. God is only in control as much as we are able to give up control and move closer to the hub down the spoke of trust where God lives in the Spirit.

When we live on the rim we are 100% in control of our lives because we are afraid to really trust anyone but ourselves. When we are in control of our lives then God is not in control. As we can see, when we are out of control (represented by 0% control) then God is 100% in control. It is not our fault that we have such a difficult time trusting God.

Explanation of the Wheel

Why is Life So Hard?

Many people have asked the question, why is life so hard? I’ve asked it a number of times myself.  It really is something that we may wonder often about why life is so hard.  I’m going to try to share with you today in 10 to 12 minutes, why life is so hard?

What I’m going to do is I’m going to ask you to look at, or see in your mind’s eye, or see as you’re looking at the home page of JoyStones.org. You’re going the see an outer rim, or a big circle with an outer rim, and a smaller circle that has a hub, what we call The Hub. It’s a big circle and a small circle. Then we’re going to put a perpendicular line between the big circle and the small circle. Now I’m going to explain to you then why life is so hard. It’s going to make a lot of sense to you. The Truth

We All Believe Lies

I want to share with you a subject that is near and dear to my heart, and it’s really, really important. I call this subject the truth. If you want to hear the truth, and you’re looking for the truth, and you want the truth, then you’re at the right place because you’re going to hear the truth.

I want to start out with a scripture verse that says, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” It’s so vitally important. That’s Hosea 4:6 if you want to look it up. “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” Well, what it is that would cause God’s people to perish? What did they lack? What knowledge do they lack? What is it that people need to know in order to be able to know the truth and be set free? Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and be set free.” We need to understand what is the truth?

Why do we need to know the truth? Just ask yourself the question, is my life working? Am I satisfied? Do I have peace? Do I have joy? Do I have the abundant life that Jesus promised?  Read More
